Circular Stitches was created to make the people, materials, and information behind textile supply chains more visible. From farmers to waste recovery workers, SFS is being developed to connect their contributions with traceable evidence across the journey of textile materials.
WHY WE EXIST
Sustainability claims need evidence behind them
Textile supply chains connect farmers, producers, processors, manufacturers, certification bodies, brands, and other stakeholders across multiple stages of production.
As materials, people, and information move through these stages, traceability and sustainability data can become fragmented or disconnected from their origin.
Circular Stitches was created to strengthen the connection between what happens at origin, the people behind it, what is recorded through the supply chain, and what can ultimately be verified.

The Sustainable Fibre Standard is being developed as a harmonized framework for organic, recycled, and improved conventional fibre, connecting material origin, supply chain information, and verification through a shared evidence framework.
The system is designed to connect information about where fibre comes from, how it is produced, how it moves through the supply chain, and how its sustainability information can be independently verified.
